Continuing a tradition: Library to hold 32nd annual Kwanzaa celebration Dec. 28

Universal African DADEUniversal African Dance and Drum Ensemble will perform at the Atlantic City Free Public Library’s 32nd annual Kwanzaa celebration Saturday, Dec. 28, at 2 p.m.

The group describes its appearances as “edutainment,” educating spectators with inspirational and positive entertainment. In addition to learning about Kwanzaa, spectators are treated to an electrifying blend of ancestral dancing, intensified drumming and stilt walking.

The Camden-based group, which dresses in traditional African costumes, has performed throughout the country at many prestigious events. The program is free and for all ages. Call (609) 345-2269, ext. 3075, for more information.
